Great to see some more Italians for the desert. The Waterloo1815 sets are not the best option.

This weeks preview reveals some interisting figures again.

WWII French Foreign Legion support weapons set?
Image

Can‘t identify the headgear of the figure with certainty from this angle? Early to mid 20th century, could be late WWI / interwar German helmet (in foreign use)?
Image

A dramatic Nap. Bavarian infantry grunt (hopefully from an upcoming firing line set).
Image

Honestly, too early in the morning for me to properly identify this nice 19th century figure? Nap. Prussian Landwehr (if so, hopefully firing line as well)?
Image

Guessing and identifying the regularly shown figures is the most welcome friday activity, isn't it? :-D :yeah:

I guess as well, that the last figure is a Prussian officer.

The Italian infantry in Africa is very interesting, but there is a mistake. Bersaglieri have feathers on the right side of the helmet and not left.

Were there a lot of bayonet charges in the Western Desert campaign?

Infantry advancing on foot, would be bayonets fixed, always with the 8th Army. There are lots of recorded examples of positions being cleared with bayonet and grenade . I recently read ( in the last year ) Battalion , a book written within weeks of wars end covering a battalion of the Seaforth highlanders war 42/45, in it were numerous examples of advancing in the desert bayonets fixed and clearing Axis positions that way.

M158 - WWII 2,8cm schwere Panzerbüchse 41 with Afrika Korps crew
Only 8, but mostly useful looking poses. Guess the set will contain 3 to 4 sprues & guns.
Bit strange that the actual support weapons have repeatedly not been part of the respective previews? :eh:
