This scene from Gettysburg has some errors in it, I understand that Round Top was not as heavily wooded, but damn! if it isn't everything else!
I look at it in several ways - one) as a document about the battle. It isn't, it's a staging of the battle with some changes, and two) a bloke who has been in re-enactments like that. And it has all of the elements of a re-enactment. But in this case I have been at events where you just get lost in the moment. The crowd, if they're there - sometimes things happen out of sight of the audience - don't matter, it's just what's in front of you, and you get into the moment.
