messages stuck in outbox

Posted by CliosPaintingBench on 23 May 2020, 23:35

Hello,

Recently I've tried to send a message but it appears to be stuck in outbox? I sent a followup and it was also stuck at outbox.

I think the mods look at all of them to make sure they don't violate any forum policy. Usually they go through in a day or two. I have sent more than one to a mod and got the same thing. It will go through in time.

Yeah things don't always happen right away around here. Unfortunately there have been some problems with pms in the past. I have found that patience nearly always pays off. When things do finally happen, they are usually pretty great and worth the wait.

Hi Owen,

As far as I know, messages stay in outbox until the other one reads them.
It's not like email, it's a private message put on the forum database.
You can edit the message as long it's in the outbox, but not when read, then it's a send message.

And Aaron, Mod's can't read them, but it's just that most members don't read there PM box often...
I forget to look there as well once and a while.
