Hacked Figure and a Fordson Truck

Posted by JurgenH on 12 Dec 2024, 21:43

Hello
I have some news for you : A hacked figure from Revell and a Fordson Truck from CMK Modells.

Building it was a lot of fun. I swapped the Bedfort for my Fordson in the prototype. I took some artistic licence with the vignette design. The cactus is made from modelling clay and the sign is made from an orange crate. I always use healing earth (acetic clay) to create the base. This is super fine. The figure is composed of many parts of the 8th Army and Aussie from Revell. The officer is Streelets OOB.I used UV glue from Revell for gluing.

Nice work!

The message on the sign seems a little naive? One can't picture Rommel's chaps reading it, saying, "We're not welcome" and leaving.

On the other hand, what a nice world it would be if such things were possible. Sign at border: "Invaders! You are not welcome. Please go!! But we'll make you a cup of tea before you leave. Two sugars?"

It's a wonderful diorama, Jürgen. I especially love the conversion you have done on the refuelling figure.

Really nice work! Great hack on the figure - those are a lot of pieces involved, but they seem to have gone together very seamlessly. The truck is beautifully modelled.
