British paras - WW2

I've been slowly painting my AB British Red Devils for a while now.
I've finished most of a battalion - a rifle company (8 figures) to go.

I'm not sure I've done these beautiful figures justice but I think they don't look too bad.

These look very nice donald. Fine work! I assume the chap who appears to be brandishing a rolled umbrella is Major Frost?

What make are the Jeep, 6 pounder and M10?

Thank you, MM.
Major Frost, I should think.

The M10 is a recently acquired resin model from Rapid Re-enforcements. The jeep & ATG are very, very old Airfix pieces, I think.

I have a number of games in mind. Sudden attacks on various German installations &, one day, a very long & narrow table with these chaps at one end and a British armoured column trying to traverse the length to relieve them. "Poor Man's Market Garden".

Wonderful how those very old Airfix models have, in some cases, stood the test of time. Their 6pdr gun is still one of my favourites.

The 'Market Garden' game concept over a long thin table sounds interesting.

Very good troops for a table top battle. For my taste the helmets should be in a darker green color.

On your advice, I washed the helmets with Army Painter Military Shader ( a sort of green) & they look less bright.

Thank you for your input.

I've completed another company (8 figures) which finishes the battalion. I still have 8 figures left so will paint these as an "extra" company.

Now I am very keen to see them again. I am influenced by the many years I spent in Normandy visiting the museums there.

No advice of course!! ;-) :-D
