Maya Sacrifice (Germania Figuren)

Posted by Kaiphranos on 21 Mar 2023, 01:57

I ended up ordering a set of Germania Figuren's "Maya Sacrifice II" set as a Christmas present for myself, and finally got around to painting it:

I was impressed at the level of detail in the printings, though I was a little worried about accidentally snapping some of the more delicate bits!

They will be serving as camp followers for my Maya DBA army (and possibly moonlighting as Clerics or Magicians if I want to use them for Hordes of the Things.)

Very nice!
Colorful and clean painting.
I always like to see work that is rare and unusual.
I also bought a sacrifice scene from GERMANIA FIGUREN
and a Maya Temple from STYLE DESIGN.
But it will be a while before I get to that.

Really nice painting! I like it a lot - I agree that the skirt is handled especially nicely. And a very pleasing palette, I think you nailed the jaguar colours.

Great job on these figures. And an interesting subject to choose.

I have seen the figs before, but this is the first time I see them painted. And it is very nice to see them painted like this!

It's a wonderful vignette, Kaiphranos. I love how you have painted their jade ornaments and the jaguar victim on the carved stone altar. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:
