Elves guard unit

I've painted some more Elves from the Caesar box; this time the guys with two handed swords, a civilian and a not Tauriel from the Adventurers' box.

These elves are looking great! Composing the Guard unit using the armoured sword bearers looks and feels 'right' for an elite unit.

Are you sure she's a civilian? Isn't she perhaps a powerful mage? The elves' magic has always been proverbial.

Another magnificently painted unit to your fantasy armies, Javier. Well done!

Santi.

I meant she's not a soldier but yes, she could be Galadriel or any noble woman. Thank you Santi :)

Great work Blacksmith.
Maybe you are making Those units for War of the Rings system?? Companies of 8 infantry ...

And yes, That elf lady for sure is much more than just a civilian :)
There is also a very good non-Tauriel fig in Alliance elves set 3, but scale compared with Caesar is higher (at least this set was better proportionated than 1 and 2)

I'm playing with a Two Hour Wargames system which is specifically tailored to be played solo, but it's good to know that 8 minis bases also work for another system. I'm thinking of joining to units of 8 into one of 16 to lure my son into Kings of War.
I'm quite happy with the Tauriel I have though I may order the DA Elves set 3 and paint them as D&D Dark Elves. A guy in LAF gave that idea and I think it is cool.

Thanks. Yes, I was a 3rd edition Warhammer player and I tried to use a green similar to "Goblin green" and also paint a heart like in the Skarloc Wood elves units from those days :-)
