Lovely model and I like the idea of a blue fence, how common was that in Russian at the time?

Wow, Huib,
a very impressive result. Achieved with so much meticuluous research and love of detail. Although I have no knowledge at all about tanks I appreciate a lot. However, I have some knowledge about Russian wooden fences and regarding the question of fire-at-will, yes, Russian tradition of using vivid colours on wooden constructions including fences exists. A blue fence is absolutely realistic.
Many greetings
Michael

That's a lovely diorama. great weathering on the tank, but also on the fence! And I love the stowage - what is that bit of hardware it's lugging around?.

Read the WIP thread linked at the top in red to find out! It will be worth your time, I think I may have added a humorous comment or two.

Great work here huib! My only minor quibble is the commander, but I know you included him for sentimental reasons so I will relent.

A really nice diorama, I like it. they make it difficult for me, I'm building a SU-85 and wanted to create a similar base.
Let's see what I can think of.

It looks very dynamic with the broken fence. And the blue is a nice touch of color. Very inspiring and unusual!
