I've been experiencing a whole new set of failures since starting using a 3D resin printer. The Panther turret and Semovente hull has major distortions, while the Semovente gun has totally failed. All due to FEP damage!

Yes printers are a real challenge. Don't give it up.

Fire at will, that looks quite good all the same! at least the russian gun. In case of the Panther, you can always use it as a destroyed unit, or glue some camouflage/leaves/branches and you won't notice ;) .

P.S: What is FEP damage?

The Fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) film is the magic plastic sheet that keeps the resin from the UV light source, it has to be perfectly clear to avoid distortions and the cured resin mustn't stick to it

I am impressed by your dedication and perseverance, Will. I have been following your 3-D printing campaign via your blog, and I must say that recent results are starting to look very good.

Having said that, investment in a printer is clearly something of a 'labour of love', and I remain to be convinced that this is economic as an individual collector unless (a) you are in pursuit of several hundred new and pristine vehicles/AFVs/models for your own collection or (b) you are the 'nominated' maker for a group of collectors/wargamers, perhaps indeed as a semi-commercial enterprise.

For smaller quantities ie: for the odd specialist vehicle, maybe a couple of Valentine Archers, etc I'll take the 'tame' route and contact Butlers Printed Models
