A close finish this is, but not enough votes for Peter his entry to win.
He was up against Sasha (zed1) who got the most votes!
Congratulations Sasha, I think now more duels will follow ;-)
But also congrats to Peter, both of you did a good duel!
Exitement until the end, perfect.
And the choice of a pink hussar.. Hilarious!

Thanks for dueling, who is next....

Muahahahahaaa....

Just can't stop laughing, it's maximum fun! Thank you Peter for joining this incredible idea, even if the figures are not a real fun for painting.

Judgefredd, VictoriousSecrets, steve_pickstock - this was mostly for you to laugh at. I had the idea for painting a pink hussar in a historically correct uniform after our debate in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=7792&hilit=pink&start=15

There the pink hussar was just an allegory, but I really found one. So in future, you will have to find a better allegory for "I paint it this or that way if I like to"!

Well - after publicly searching for a figure from HaTs' set of 1806 Prussian hussars which fit the best for the needed uniform pattern, Peter joined in and we agreed to make a duel with this theme.
So again thanks a lot to you, Peter, for making this amusement possible!

Congrats Sascha

As you said it was not really fun to paint this figure, but after all he doesn't look that bad ;-)

And you were right about the close finish, I never thought I would get that many votes  Thanks to all who did vote for me

And you don't have to thank me. I allways like a fun duel like this one

Now see what our friends have to say about this "Pink Hussar". Frederic, Ben and Steve, helloooooo????? :joker:

PS: who's next? Just send me a PM ;-)

Thanks a lot. At my personal point of view, I now have one victory, one draw and two losses. Three times, it was a really close decision. So in general, I'm pretty happy with my statistics - but I'm much more happy with the beautiful tournament figures that I'm owning now. ;-)

You mean something like this? http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h361/Zedalist/husar2.jpg Bad photo, I know. But it looks black enough, no? Nevertheless, you will soon get to see some veeery black guys from me, so I don't think that another black hussar would be a good theme.

Very nice little duel. Shame that again only a few members gave their votes. I was very often in Denmark for vacation. So I like this one on the linked picture. Btw. in Denmark there is also a pink salami

Well - I already wondered about that part as well. There are usually hundreds of views on a duel topic, but only 20-30 people who really make a vote. :(
