Today, unfortunately, an obituary. I would like to pay tribute to Wolfgang with pictures of his work. I think you will like them too.

I read about Wolfgangs passing with sadness on the GIM site.

His work was both of the highest quality and inspirational.

At the Dioramica his Caribbean, an exquisite work amongst others were true delights.

A true loss to our hobby.

RIP.

The news of Wolfgang's death reached me some weeks ago and hit me deeply.
I personally got to know and appreciate him and his dear wife Getrud at the 1st Dioramica.
Wolfgang was not only a gifted artist but also an avid advocate of our 1/72 scale.
In the years that followed, we often spent a long time talking on the phone and talking shop.
His advice and ideas have always been of great help to me.
I will also miss his professional opinions and positive feedback for our hobby incredibly.
Wolfgang was an extremely empathic person who knew how to take others along with his good mood.
His death is an enormous loss for everyone who knew him and also for our hobby.
I am very sad and I am already missing him and I will miss him many times ... but never forget!

My thoughts and sympathy go with his wife, Getrud, and his family.
