Have got to say that over the years I've spent hundreds of hours looking at a lot of brilliant pieces of work from 28mm to 1/72 to 15mm (these are the scales that interest me the most)! In books, magazines, and of course the internet. But without a shadow of a doubt this is the most incredible work I've ever seen.

I am honoured Wolfgang to be able to communicate with one of the artists involved and I would like to congratulate you and your colleague Dirk for the most unbelievable military diorama ever produced IMHO  . Spectacular, breathtaking, amazing. None do this work justice. It is truly awe-inspiring and everything one ever dreamed of that could be achieved in a miniature representation of a battleground, no landscape, of a bygone age. Not any bygone age - but my favourite bygone age. An age of elan. The age of Napoleon. It contains everything from cavalry to infantry, artillery to baggage train, civilians, groundwork, realistic vegetation, stunning reproductions of authentically scaled architecture and last but by no means least literally thousands and thousands of differently posed miniature toy soldiers. WOOOOW. In short every schoolboy's wildest dream - at least until he discovers the opposite sex!

Hope and pray that one day yours truly will be privileged enough to see this diorama up close, in real life, and be able to say a personal thank you for the innumerable hours of dedication and dare I say it, sacrifice that went into this surreal masterpiece, resulting in innumerable hours of amazement and admiration that I've spent looking at this Crobern website of yours

Thanks a million Wolfgang and Dirk.

Hello TK and k.b.,

thank you for those nice words, I'm so straight red.

I've just come back from Leipzig, where I did some research for a new project of the Battle of Nations.
This new diorama makes my friend Patrick, I help him with the buildings . It is the battle for Möckern on 10/16/1813.
The diorama is 35 square meters, in the same quality as the Cröbern diorama. Scale 1/72.
Soon I will write some info.

best regards

Wolfgang

I wonder that this dio obviously is still not very well known to the 1:72 scene.
In my opinion it's completely epic. Wolfgang only uses high quality materials for his scenery and Torsten's and Wolfgang's buildings are just outstanding (and completely authentic, as the whole thing is). And, by the way, there are nearly none plastic figures on this gigantic diorama. I am a big fan (alas?! ;) ) of this kind of enthusiasm combined with high craftmansship.

it's a masterpiece. ! That's why I love the scale 1 / 72, it gives the opportunity to do so. But the opportunity - it's not all. requires talent and skill and patience! All that you have in abundance. I looked at your diorama is not the first year, and each time take off my hat. This is the level to which I would like to approach!

Hi Alex, thanks for the kind words. After 2013, after Cröbern, I build with some friends a big diorama, siege of Acre in 1191 with Richard the Lionheart. It is a very very large diorama, with walls, towers, gates, houses and a large harbor. I'm looking forward to since your great figures of the Crusades.

best regards

The Construction of the Cröbern diorama is in the final stages
Here are three complete Austrian artillery batteries for the diorama Cröbern 1813. More than 60 carriages

Here we see pastor Traugott Palm and Cröberner civilians from the Cröberner church.
The Cröbern diorama is shortly before completion.
