Airfix German Armoured Car

Starting point for this model is the ancient 1/76 Arfix German Armoured Car from 1964. Although the hull is quite well shaped, the gun and the wheels are poor and the mudguards are totally wrong (The story goes they were copied from an ill restored museum vehicle.) I will try to improve the kit by using Matchbox/Revell wheels and mudguards and scratchbuilding some additional detail.


My boxing is a reissue from 1987.


The contents are typical for ancient Airfix: a bit messy.


First step: constructing the lower hull. Now on with scratchbuilding some interior.
