It took quite a while, maybe a week, but 13 days seem a lot! But I still think, it will become clear eventually.

Thank you!
I don’t remember if I ever used the NOCH products, but they seem to be very similar to the ones by Faller.
What impressed me about the stuff made by Boesner that I am using here was the sample they had in the store: There was a big chart with samples of various crystal gels from different companies, quite helpful. Their own brand was absolutely clear and colorless, even at a thickness of about 1 cm. So it can be done – one merely needs patience…

Still waiting for the water to clear up, but there is progress… So in the meantime I am working on another aspect of the project. As I said in the thread on AI generated pictures, I would like to have a nice background that fits the diorama. After a number of experiments that didn’t really satisfy me, I decided to try and create the photo, using as template a drawing that I made myself. So I designed a rather crude sketch of some buildings that would fit in style more or less the real buildings in the dio:

This can be combined with any landscape photo, like this one here:

The combination yields this result to be used as a template for the AI picture generator:

Finally feeding this template to the AI picture rendering, combined with a text prompt describing what I want, I got these first experimental results – not perfect yet, but quite promising I would say:

Wow, Stephan. I admit that my computer skills are very limited, which is perhaps why I am amazed to see how AI is capable of combining the picture of the real landscape with your building design to create a stunning and totally credible image.

Great work, my friend!
