thanks guys ! Yes, tattoos, tartan and vertical band trousers (Obelix-style ) ... are the most distinctive marks for celts/britons.

Here are other warriors completed, I have to say that both Italeri-Zvezda and Linear figures have excellent sculpture, with superb faces and details.

Fine work, and I like the faces very much. Eyes in this scale often look unrealistic, but you have managed these very well. I can only assume a very steady hand and some strong magnification. Well done!

For painting I don't use magnification lens, I'm very mole from far distance, therefore at 20 cm (painting distance) I see perfectly all details

For eyes, I start making a white "large" circle, then I make a vertical black line (the pupil) : this is the most difficult part, it's hard to allign the two eyes and often I have to repeat the process due to "cross-eyed warrior". After that I reduce the circle with orizontal brown painting above and below, to create the "real eye" effect.
It's not always straight-forward, sometime it goes wrong and I have to repeat all the process, but patience is one of the characteristics we must have in our hobby

How right you are, Enrico. A figure modeller/painter without patience is like a sky without sunshine or an army without soldiers.

I'm in the same situation than you. God willing, in September this year I will have achieved my retirement and, like you, I hope to have much more time and desire to carry out all the projects I have started and many more I have imagined.

Iceman that is some great painting!
Congrats on up comiing retirements Konrad and Santi. I retired in 2016 and the last seven years have gone by so quickly it scares me!! But I still had a great time!
