Zveda Figures WWII

Posted by JueHue on 26 Jan 2022, 18:15

Hi
I picked up the brush again. First I have the Zvezda set. Painted German Panzergrenadiers in anorak. First a picture of the whole group. I modified a figure from the set. It got a Preiser head and a Pegasus arm

I modified one figure from the set. It got a Preiser head and a Pegasus arm with a gun.
All figures have a gun sling.

That's it for now. I still have a few figures in the works. Then I'll build another diorama.
Sorryfor my bad english.

Nice camo painting. It seems like you have good eye and steady hand.

Very, very good painting. I've never painted camo uniforms (i prefer previous periods of history), I can only imagine how hard they can be !

Leibertarn! Very rare camo at the End of War. Good Idea!

Excellent painting, and the camoflauge smocks look very realistic. Well done!

Thanks vor the nice comments
Iceman:
Steady hand, yes. Good eyes, no. Days glasses with 3.5 dioptres. At almost 61 years old. I am happy. I came up with the idea of using the brush handle for the camouflage. Slightly dipped in paint, randomly at first
Distributed on the figure, then targeted with a pointed end of the brush. Finally a very fine 10/00 brush. Also an option for camouflage on late German vehicles

Those are very cool poses and I like the paint job you have given them. The camouflage and faces are standout features.

Did you say you were still working on these? A bit of a darker line in the transition areas between anorak and pants, collar and neck, around packs and straps, and the like would help to make those details pop even better.

And haven't you heard? 61 is the new 51. Still in your prime.
