Wow, Egbert, I'm speechless looking at this amazing progress of your project. What a great idea to sculpt independent body parts which can be combined in order to obtains an almost unlimited variety of poses.

I was mightily impressed by your conversions for Custer's scouts and I wondered how it was possible to get figures that so closely matched the art work; so it is very interesting to watch the conversion process here. Even though I've watched you do it I still don't know how it's possible though. Incredible creations!

]Unfortunately, in the last few months it was not possible for me to focus intensively on building the figures for the Dio.
Here my construction progress,
-The cavalrymen for the rifle line, the horse keepers, and the mounted are ready
- the horses for the riders are ready,
In the next step I will start painting the US cavalrymen.

Unfortunately, in the past few months, I have not been able to
deal so intensively with our wonderful hobby,
as I would have wished for myself.
Despite everything, I've gotten a little further.
Here my construction progresses...
The US-Cavalry has been painted in the meantime...
... and the Apaches are also finished except for a few details.
The wonderful horseteams from Franznap have been reworked and are almost ready for painting.

So this is how dreams are made in to reality. Very, very impressive Egbert. Everything is done to perfection and i can't help but gawk at your figures; so well painted but such a variety of poses. I probably have neither the skill nor patience but you do inspire me to try more conversion work. Your concept of molding parts which can then be reproduced is made-to-order for our hobby. Not a big market admittedly but one I know I would be willing to pay premium to have available. Your hats are absolutely perfect. They were the first things I saw on the cavalry and now I know why they look so damn good. The finished diorama will be extraordinary in it's full glory.

I think is better for us this way, Egbert. Our hearts are not prepared to face such wonders all at once.
I always have the same doubt: don't know which one of your abilities is higher, if the converting or the painting one.
Invariably, the results are always the same: works that are inimitable and priceless masterpieces.
