Huibs T34 tank project

Base (part 2)
I managed to finish the base.

Image
Some fresh colours. But that's temporarily.

Image
I had lot's of fun painting pink wallpaper with flowers in the bedroom.

Image
Then a rainpipe and windowframes with broken glass

Image
A dark wash and some drybrushing creates more depth.

Image
Debris and dust added (demolished an old flowerpot from the missus again  )

Image
Built the remains of a floor from skewers and thin cedar wood.

Image
And then burned the thing down! (i.e. applied soot using black pastel chalk and a cotton stick)

Image
Lot's of debris added on the inside too.

Image
And the finishing touch: I imitated woodgrain on the base, using oilpaint.

And now the last step will be to bring tank, figures and base together.

Incredibly realistic damaged building, and you always make it look so easy to do.

Thank you very much guys!

Final assembly
The only work left now is to join the tank, base and figures.

Image
Two men on the tank.

Image
Three men in the street.

Image
Then some last minute additions: a front door and a German with a Panzerfaust (a very ancient Airfix figure).

Image
All together. The frontdoor is lying in the street.

Image
From the other side.... where has this German gone?

Image
Have a good look.... ah, there he is.

Image
Final pictures soon!

My Panzergroup is now reduced by the (huib) T34 Armada to a single Panzerfaust fighter. :(
The situation is worse. The leader has fallen, Steiner didn't start his attack. The 9. Army is on the way to the west. But that lonely old Airfix street figter never give up. :yeah:

Very nice setup. And also a little story. I like the Airfix figure as well. Can you tell us from which set he is?

First version of Airfix German Infantry! I have all these old sets (a lot of loose figures). ;-)

Very nice.

You have worked wonders on the German gentleman.

He does look as if he is stealing himself to fire the ‘Faust.

I think that set was my introduction into 20mm as a child.

Super work.

Best wishes,

Chris

I think you have depicted a very authetic scene. all aspects of the view create a harmonious image. Besondders the soldier with his bazooka fits very well in his hiding place. Congratulations.
