Being 600 km (372 miles) from my workshop I've made more progress on figures this time, because I can bring them with me anywhere I go!
(all colors cited below are Vallejo).
- Uniform of the Imperial Guard horse artillery is made of Vallejo 70809 Royal blue with wash and drybrush.
_ Uniform of the crew for limbers is a mix of 40% Vallejo 70899 Prusia blue and 60% of Vallejo 70989 sky grey.
Some trousers are white, with black wash and drybrush 70837 pale sand.
Some details on the uniform (collar, cuffs, and on the back and front side) are 70899 prusia blue.
Saber : black and Laiton 70801.
Many details are painted in white first, and then red 70909, because if you paint red directly on a dark color it doesn't look that good, unless you use many layers.
log of woods :
Flat brown 70984 with wash and drybrush, and 70819 Iraqi sand for the center.
ammunition pouch :
Black, the eagle is painted white first, then 70801 laiton
Whip : 70847 dark sand with wash and drybrush, and a white stripe around, underlined with black.
Faces and hands are painted in the same way than before, I've tried a salmon rose 70835 for the lips, to see the result, and this is acceptable.
boots and spurs : Black for boots, 70864 natural steel for spurs and a stripe 70940 saddle brown
Drums :
my ink pen being already dry, I've replaced the metal color by 50% of Vallejo Laiton 70801 and 50% of Vallejo 70999 copper, it give the same tone.
blue stripes : 70809 Royal blue, the upper and back side of the drum is 70837 pale sand with a light black wash. Ropes around the drum : 70876 brown sand and one is white (to hold the drum).
The Shako is black, once more I paint every details on white, and then cover with the appropriate color (Laiton 70801, red 70909, prusia blue 70899)
3 Shakos are painted with their cover : 70819 Iraqi sand with black wash and drybrush.
