The Bridge looks good. And I agree with Peter, it fits well to the musketeers. The Pegasus set is great I am searching for a place to store it after I built it. But it was a must have for me since I was on the original place in Normandie.

I've bought:

(42nd Black Watch Miniatures)
King Porsenna and Muzio Scevola

(Phersu Miniatures)
This is Sparta! - 2 figures miniset
Sparta-Cus
ETRUSCAN WARRIORS COMPLETE SET - (13 figures)

Massimo Costa is running the show for both companies above, and lovely to deal with. I sent him an email and found out he inherited the Phersu Miniatures warehouse.

(Caesar Miniatures)
Sea Peoples Set
Persian Warriors
Japanese Samurai and Ninja

(RedBox)
Korean Heavy Cavalry Set 2

Far too much for me to paint in any reasonable amount of time lol.

Thought would alert folks that Zvezda French foot artillery is available from a few sellers but seems to sell pretty quick, I know Hannant's had some and they're already gone.

Hello everyone ,
This my latest order.
I included a focus on the last MARS German paratroopers.
I think they are good and will fit perfectly in my current battle group. Only Italeri figures are bigger but that is a known issue.
I also invested in wet palette as I keep hearing it is fantastic.
I will test it on my next project: a battalion of napoleonic Bavarian infantry.
Happy weekend everyone.

Great purchase!

I have that same wet palette from Army Painter and I'm pleased with it. On the other hand I also bought some paint of them and a wash and with that I wasn't pleased. The wash stays glossy and the paint doesn't cover. Not even after a few layers. Thought it was my fault by not shaking the paint enough but even then I had the saame result. So the wet palette is a yes for me but not their paint. ;-)

Those German paras are really nice, and the flash is very good...I got a box of the "normal" infantry last weekend, and I really like them. Needed an evening to remove flash from a single sprue's worth of figures, but the poses are great - ordered some paints for their uniforms, so expect to see them pop-up in my thread soon-ish :)

And as for the wet palette - I got one very recently too, it's fun, but using the top of my old tub of GW static grass is still more convenient, and when I'm just painting one or two small things, it doesn't make much sense to take out the wet palette. However, when I tested it with painting the skin of a dozen Gauls at the same time, it worked very well, didn't have to refill the paint once, and it was still wet on the palette days later. Good for batch painting, I think you'll like it.

Hi everyone,
I am having fun with the wet palette so far...

I forgot to share a good tip to save money: the Heller Us paratroopers are actually Esci reference in it and £2 less than the Italeri reissue. Just saying.!
I will be convert them into French infantry for Indochina.
Cheers

Here are the birthday presents of this year:

Some kits:

Some paint and brushes:

And then a lot of figures (mostly without base) and a whole lot of scenery from a second hand auction. It was real fun sorting out all these (pictures are from the site where I bought them. I was to lazy to make new ones after sorting out! :-D ).

A nice quartet of books here Rich. The Ramillies 1706 is a good one, one of the better Osprey Campaign/Battle books, I think. It contains useful Orders of Battle for the opposing armies and some very good maps. James Falkner is an established expert on the campaigns and battlefields of Marlborough, and I'm sure this one is a good source of information also.

Happy reading, when/if you get the time!

With the latest releases from Strelets available I thought it was time to restock the stash with these
Image
Here is a list and my current plan
Mars 72123 German paras tropical (RR&M) x 0.5 - heavy weapons for my German FJ
Pegasus Mission Indians - Oxen for my Spanish limbers and the monks
Strelets 176 Japanese Type 38 75mm Field Gun - start of my Japanese force for Battlegroup
Strelets 238 British Cavalry x 2 - enough to finish Palme's brigade and adda couple of French cavalry units
Strelets 239 French Royal Horse Grenadiers - missed these from the last order
Strelets 243 British Artillery - The next piece of the jigsaw for the WSS, though I'll probably use some Zvezda GNW bits as well
Strelets 244 French Artillery - as above
Strelets 254 French Dragoons in skirmish - will wait till Strelets release their mounted counterparts
Strelets 275 - Nap. Austrian Uhlans - a gap in my Nap collection + the nice civilians
Strelets 276 - Nap. Russian Hussars in reserve
Strelets 277 - Nap. French Guard Chasseurs
Strelets 292 - WWI French Field Kitchen - every army should have one
Strelets M081 - WWII Afrika Korps desert patrol x 0.5 - I just like the figures
Strelets M114 WWII Japanese Troops in Tropical Uniform - start of my Japanese force for Battlegroup
Strelets M115 Japanese Army in defense - start of my Japanese force for Battlegroup
Strelets M121 Imperial Japanese Army Heavy Weapons Team - start of my Japanese force for Battlegroup
Strelets M151 - WWII Moroccan Goumiers - A cool unit for WW2
