Basing Question

I have a bunch of these coasters that I want to use to base larger mi is , catapults or trees.
I was wondering about any pros or cons to this idea that anyone might be able to offer.

Cork side up? If the Xmas scene up, then you *might* have trouble getting paint etc to stick to it.
Otherwise, I can't see anything wrong with your "re-cycling".

Bothe sides can be used. But if you want to use the picture side, make it rough with some sand paper.
And maybe double side tape can do the trick to.
